“The Bothy is wonderful! It's so peaceful and has stunning views, and has been designed so thoughtfully. It was spotlessly clean, and Mary went out of her way to make us feel welcome - even supplying fresh bread and pastries! A gorgeous home that we'd thoroughly recommend.”

People visit to explore the wild-life, local crafts (potteries, painting, furniture making), many spend time walking in the local Roaches rock outcrops and rough pastures or following the old pack horse trails across the moors; cycling and touring the many narrow and quiet roadways, farm tracks and of course sampling food and drink to be had in the local authentic and traditional old pubs.
Visitors have used the local area to train for Iron-Man and other triathlon competitions (open water swimming is a distance but available). During summer there are usually village well-dressings from March to September. An online programme is available. There are many tourist attractions for visitors, pamphlets and leaflets are available.
